A very good beginning…

So, the first book group was fantastic!

Despite the snow, we had a mixed group of men and women of all ages from all over Teesside, who had a lot of interesting things to say - not only about the book but about themselves and their experiences too.

The group is open to anyone who fancies coming along – the more the merrier - so if you or someone you know would like to come along, check out this site or add our group on facebook .

The next books is Welcome to Life by Alice De Smith and we’ll be meeting on saturday 27th February at 11am at The Arc.

Look forward to seeing you!

One big question…

It’s the thing I’ve been asked most since the group was made public…how do I sign up?

Well, here are the details…..

You can sign up for the facebook group to keep informed or just turn up for the FREE book group at Arc.

The first meeting is at the end of the month and our first book is Talk of the Town by Jacob Polley.

Look forward to meeting you!

New year, new book group for Stockton

hnyNew Writing North are setting up a new book group in Stockton and want you to come and join us.

The Arc book group will offer an informal monthly meeting for readers who are interested in sharing their views on contemporary literature, whilst having a cup of tea and a cake.

You don’t have to have finished the book to attend so come on down.

Led by Middlesbrough book group leader Natalie Boxall, the first meeting will be in January, just in time to start on your new year’s resolutions.

January’s book is Talk of the Town by Jacob Polley, followed by Welcome to Life by Alice de Smith and The Clothes on Their Backs by Linda Grant in March.

It’s the ideal place to meet new people and enjoy different types of learning and networking.
